Pearl Necklace

I was sleeping peaceful in the morning until I was surprisingly awoken by his voice ringing in my ears. *phone rings* (Ne-Yo - Mad) I picked up,

Him: Wake up, Wake up! Stop sleeping!

Me:*groaning* Where are you at?

Him: What? Wake up! Stop sleeping! Do you know what time it is?!

Me: *groaning some more* I don't know....

Him: What? I can't hear you but okay!

Me: *sigh* What time are you getting out of work?

Him: At 6pm, but hunnie can you bring me something to eat? I'm hungry!

Me: Okay, what do you wanna eat?

Him: Well anything is fine.

Me: NO! Tell me what you wanna eat now!

Him: Okay uhh, a torta!

Me: Okay, do you want anything to drink?

Him: Well if you can it would be nice.

Me: So what time do you want me to come?

Him: Come at 2pm.

Me: Okay for sure.

Him: Alright, I'll talk to you laters. Bye.

Me: Bye.

*Beeps*

It was around 8:30am in the morning......

I bust out my laptop to go online and checked if I received any new messages on Facebook. After Myspace. *Ring* *Chat box opens* "Oh it's Meli! (short for Melissa)" I talked with her until the clock strikes 12:30pm-ish. I walked towards the bathroom to take a warm shower. The clock strikes 1pm. *Turned on Hair-Dryer* Clocks strikes 1:30pm. *Thinking* "Aw, man Ima be late!" *Speeds up* Who knew, a girl like me takes a long time getting ready to see her boyfriend at work. *Phone rings* (Ne-Yo - Mad), Picks up

Me: Hello!

Him: Hey where are you doing?

Me: Oh well just getting ready, why what happen?

Him: Oh, just wanted to see what your doing. Do you wanna come at 2:3o pm so you can have more time getting ready?

Me: *thinking* (He knows me too well.)

Him: WAIT! Let me call you back! BYE!

Me: Bye?

*Beeps*

A few seconds later...

(Ne-Yo - Mad)

Me: Hello.

Him: *Laughing hysterically* Oh my god, guess what happened to Elvis (His friendly co-worker)?!

Me: What? What happened?

Him: Okay so you know one of those Cart machine things right?

Me: Yeah....

Him: Well Elvis was pushing the carts with it, and BAM! This "Asian" lady hit that cart hard and the lady drove away.

Me: Oh my gosh! So it was like a HitNRun?

Him: Yeah i guess. So do you wanna come at 2:30pm?

ME: OKAY! *smiles*

Him: Okay will I gotta go, bye.

Me: Okay bye.

*Beep*

It was a sign of a relief that he gave me extra time to get ready. I had a feeling that he knew I needed more time to get ready. Applying on make-up probably takes me about 10 to 15mins tops, because I didn't wanna put too much. I wanted to look more on the natural side. As time flew by, I realized it was 2:16pm. I grabbed my purse took out my keys and rushed to the Mexican restaurant. My boyfriend and I call it "Ice Cream Tacos!" It took about 5 mins for them to cook the food and pack it up. I had to come back and bring some for my hungry siblings. I knew I was going to be late when I get to his work. I rushed. I was 15mins late. *sigh* I ended up parking in the back because I remember he told me usually parking in the front is always packed. I walked toward the store. *speeds up* and met him in the corner, where he's always sits. I gave him food to eat so he wouldn't be starving during his break. Once we were done eating we walked around the store and I realize there was these leather gloves that Julie wanted for Christmas on sale 30% off! Then when his break was over, I was off on my own for a bit. I was browsing around and searching for cute stuff. I was at the accessories section and a cute long pearl necklace caught my attention. I flipped the tag over to see how much it was, and it was $14.99. My eyes opened with shock. I really wanted that necklace, but I thought the price was a bit too expensive. I just dropped it in my basket because I didn't want anyone to take it. An hour pass by, I wasn't sure when my boyfriend was going to get his 15 min. break. So I decided to call him. I dialed the number. *ringing* ......*beep beep beep*...No answer....*sad face* I didn't want to leave him because I still had his plastic Christmas cup, so I waited until he had the chance to call me back. A few minutes later my phone started ringing. It was him! My heart started beating fast. I picked up.

Me: Hello!
Him: Hey where are you at?
Me: I'm still at the store. When are you gonna be on your 15 min. break?
Him: Uhm, well let me call you back and tell you when I'm done with my shift.
Me: Okay then.
Him: Bye *Click*

When he called me back I was relieved that he was coming. He wanted to know what I picked out from the store. What I had in the basket was 4 cups, 2 mascaras, hair ties, gems, stickers and a pearl necklace. I told him it was just going to be four dollars in total, because I just wanted to get the cups. He ask me, "do you want me to pay for them?", I replied back, "No it's okay I have the money to buy it." "Are you sure, cuz I can paid it for you, you don't need to pay me back. Well do you want anything else?", He insisted. "Well I wanted to buy this necklace but I don't have enough money. But it's okay you don't have to buy it" I replied. "Well do you like it?" He asked. " Yeah", I answered. "C'mon lets go", He said. We walked to the registered and he ended up paying for everything and he gave me discounts too! I thought it was sweet of him to buy those items for me.

I wore it the next day. <3
