Bike riding to the River Bed and back was a good exercise. I needed it, since I really don't exercise as much anymore. I remember the last time I worked out was the beginning of college. I stopped because I grew lazy and tired. My boyfriend introduced me to fixie bikes. The first bike that I've ever had was a Huffy Road Bike that was purple and pink. He was generous to purchase the bike for me to go bike riding with him. It was a vintage bike so the frame was pretty heavy to lift up. Unfortunately he sold my Huffy bike to another girl because he thought of getting a fixie bike would be better for me to ride. The first time riding a fixie was surprising because it felt fast while I was pedaling rapidly. The difference between a road bike and a fixie and the way a person pedals with it. A road bike can only pedal forward but not backwards and a fixie can go both ways; therefore, a person can do tricks on it. While were were at the River bed, he was trying to teach me how to do a "track stand". It was difficult to adjust to it. I don't think I got the hang of it yet, but I tried. Before he was trying to teach me, how to do a "track stand" he told me to speed up to get in front of him; and so I did. As I got in front of him a bug flew into my left eye causing me to brake and I made my boyfriend almost crash into me. He got mad at me and told me I should of kept on pedaling with one eye open and my eye's started to get watery because he wanted to go back home after that incident. I was trying to get the fly out of my eye and it started to sting a lot. I tried to get over it because I wanted to keep on riding all the way. He looked like he wanted to go home because I couldn't stand the pain. But it was just a fly that accidentally flew in my eye. I told him to continue riding until we reach the top of the hill. Riding with him felt impossible because I couldn't catch up to him and if I did he would start to speed up. I tried to keep up with his pace but I was always behind him. Then he told me to go in front of him again, and I ask him if that was a good idea and he said yeah. I thought I was gonna get him mad again but nothing really happen but he ended up in front of me again. I started to slow down because I was getting exhausted. I just wanted to take a break and drink water. Then he began to slow down as well so he could give me some water in his backpack. Few hours later , the sun started to disappear and we head back home to drink better water because the water that he had in his backpack tasted weird. It didn't look like he cleaned the water from his backpack. As we arrived home we ate chicken salad and this granola bar that his dad brought home. After I went back home to review my notes for History.
